back Difference between SBS and SEBS
In contrast to SEBS or SEPS, the central elastomer butadiene block in SBS is unhydrogenated, i.e. double bonds exist, making the material and therefore also the finished compound susceptible to UV and ozone stress. In addition, the maximum usage temperature of SBS is considerably lower than that of the hydrogenated types (SEBS and SEPS). SBS is not therefore generally suitable for technical applications.
